George Lacson


Musician, audio engineer, and producer, George Lacson, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master's Degree from the Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. He has over 20 years experience as a professional, even being nominated for a Grammy in 2008.

 

George began his musical journey at age 2 with his first gig, sitting in on percussion while on a family vacation, at Hilton Head Island. SC.  At age 8 he began formal studies on the violin and viola with the school orchestra, winning several state and regional awards. It wasn't until age 17 that he discovered the bass guitar and immediately starting playing in bands with his friends. In college, George continued his absorption of musical knowledge with Music Theory, Music History, and Bass Performance from the University of Colorado. Over the past two years he's been studying Music Production, Technology, and Innovation at the Berklee College of Music's campus in Valencia, Spain. Expanding his artistic pallete with the inclusion of audio engineering and multimedia performances. Since 2006 he has toured internationally in Europe, Central America, Africa, Caribbean Islands, Scandinavia, Canada, and North America, sharing the stage with B.B.King, Lenny Kravitz, ZZ Top, and more.

 

George currently resides in Boulder, CO with his wife Frances and pug Marcus. He loves to play bass guitar and work on various musical projects.
